The Yorkville Community Unit School District #115 covers
85 square miles in Kendall and Kane Counties in Illinois
. The 3500+ students in grades PreK-12 attend school in
a clean and safe educational environment. District #115
offers a unique combination of formal education within a
personalized environment and ensures that curriculum and
technology are continuously upgraded to meet the needs
of the students. With two referenda, passed in 2002,
District #115 has added additional staff and opened a
33,000 sq. ft. addition to the high school and a new
Intermediate School for 750 students in grades 4-6, and
an addition of five classrooms to Bristol Grade School
housing students in grades K-4.

Extension in Kendall County covers the four program areas of: Agriculture and Natural Resources; Community and Economic Development; Family and Consumer Sciences, and 4-H/Youth Development. Agriculture and Natural Resources program area works with local farmers and community to enhance income and production while protecting the environment. Extension works with volunteer groups, community leaders and government officials to help them find ways to make their community stronger in the community and economic development program area.
The Family and Consumer Sciences program area helps families to learn how to better manage their money, communicate with family and prevent diet related health problems. The 4-H/Youth Development program area's goal is to reach all youth of Kendall County through traditional 4-H, school enrichment, after school and community outreach.

Homes nestled within quiet, friendly neighborhoods of tree-lined streets offer the best in family living. Carefully restored turn of the century classic homes abound, as do many new neighborhoods of contemporary masterpieces.
Culture expanding the imagination
Yorkville’s calendar is filled year-round with entertaining programs and events.
Summer brings Friday night "Music Under the Stars" concerts to the Town Square Park with a mix of musicians performing under the gazebo for an audience enjoying the program from their lawn chairs. Both local talent, such as a high school chamber music group, and professional musicians perform. Amateur musicians dust off their instruments- or borrow them- to form the Community Band that marches in the town’s annual Fourth of July celebration. Bristol-Kendall Firemen put on a full day of activities each Independence Day, beginning with a morning parade and ending with a concert by the Yorkville American Legion Big Band and a huge public fireworks display.
Recreation focused on fun
Yorkville’s location on the Fox River boosts its reputation as a prime recreation area. Anglers and boaters can take advantage of the natural beauty of the river which meanders through the heart of the city. Yorkville is well-known throughout the region as a prime starting point for scenic canoe trips down the river.
The Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department oversees year round fun at the City’s parks that encompass dozens of beautiful acres. It offers a myriad of fun and exciting programs including basketball, dance and exercise classes, golfing, soccer, tennis, tumbling and even street hockey.
Civil Clubs togetherness & pride
Community involvement and civic pride are an important element in the daily lives of Yorkville’s citizens. The City boasts numerous civic clubs and community organizations. These include the Chamber of Commerce, Garden Club,VFW, Kiwanis Club, Yorkville Women’s Club, Junior Women’s Club and Knights of Columbus. Other organizations with active membership include the Kendall Masonic Lodge, Order of Eastern Star, American Legion, Lions Club, Rotary Club, American Association of University Women, American Business Women’s Association as well as the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and 4-H Clubs.
